100 Black Men of America Houston
Chapter Announce Gala Honorees
HOUSTON (April 13, 2010) – The 100 Black Men of America Metropolitan
Houston Chapter (“The 100”) will host its annual black-tie
scholarship fundraising gala on Saturday, May 1, 2010, at the
Hyatt Regency
Downtown, 1200 Louisiana Street, Houston, TX 77002,
Board of Directors Chairman Dr. John M.
Rudley announced today. The reception will begin at 6:30 p.m.
followed by a dinner and awards program at 7:30 p.m.
The 2010 event theme is "Educating Our Future."
During the program, high school seniors who have completed the
organization's mentoring program will be awarded college
scholarships.
Celebrating the legacy of "The 100's" leadership
in the African-American community, the Honorary Gala Host Committee
Chairman Ben Hall, and committee members Howard Jefferson, Levi
Benton, Pauline Higgins, Michael Harris and D'Artagnan Bebel look
forward to joining more than 600 guests representing political and
community leaders, businesses, and academia from the Greater Houston
area to honor this year’s living legends.

National Chairman 100 Black Men of America Albert E. Dotson Jr.,
Esq, reception entertainment by the Imani Youth Jazz Ensemble,
dinner melodies by A Touch of Keys, and Khambrel Marshall, KPRC
Local 2, as master of ceremonies.
