Welcome To 100 Black Men

The 100 Black Men of Metropolitan Houston is dedicated to enhancing educational and economic opportunities for our black boys and young black men in grades 6-12 through mentorship and community service. Our mission is to empower and uplift young black men by providing them with the support, guidance, and resources they need to succeed academically, professionally, and personally.

Through our mentorship programs, we aim to inspire and motivate young men to reach their full potential. Our mentors, who are prominent community members, serve as positive role models and provide guidance in areas such as education, career development, and personal growth.

100 Black Men of Metropolitan Houston, Inc. (The 100) improves the quality of life for the communities we serve. Mentoring is the core service of The 100, the largest network of African American male mentors in the nation. We influence and transform the lives of underrepresented and disenfranchised youth, specifically African Americans Through our platform of Mentoring The 100 Way ®Across A Lifetime, we provide programmatic services in education, health and wellness, economic empowerment and leadership development, which makes a fundamental difference in the lives of the youth we touch and the communities we serve.

MENTORING

Mentoring begins with the trust and ability to see everyone’s potential. Not every person begins at the same stage, but they all could create a positive impact on society, which begins with the guidance of mentors. 100 Black Men of Metro Houston, Inc. is changing lives of tomorrow’s leaders through the 100’s signature programs. 100’s signature programs: Four For The Future.

HEALTH & WELLNESS

The 100, through its Health and Wellness Committee, works with other synergistic organizations to develop strategic partnerships to raise a collective voice to help increase awareness and provide health education to mitigate chronic conditions and diseases that plague the African American community.

ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT

100 Black Men of Metro Houston, Inc. promotes and fosters the ability of its mentees and members to be self-determined in creating dreams, pursuing them, and ultimately perpetuating those dreams and aspirations by establishing the mechanisms to sustain generational wealth. The goal of the 100 is to leave a legacy of wealth-building, which leads to debt-free living for the youth and communities we serve.

“What They See Is What They’ll Be.”

The 100 Black Men of Metropolitan Houston impacts young Black men grades 6-12 through a nationally-recognized mentorship program, which focuses on their unique social, cultural and emotional needs. Our chapter provides programming in health and wellness, education, economic empowerment and leadership development, including programs such as the “100 Debate Camp” and #ProjectTux. 100 Black Men of Metropolitan Houston has provided mentees with educational opportunities and awarded more than $150,000 in scholarships to first and second-year college students.
